The chauffeur who worked for Kim Kardashian West and another two suspects have been released by French investigators from probe into robbery of more than $10 million worth of jewellery from the star's Paris rented apartment in October last year.
Paris prosecutor's office said another 14 others, including the driver's brother remain in custody as of Wednesday after a round of arrest conducted this week. Authorities are focusing on the possibility that it was an inside job.
Michael Madar, 40 and Gary Madar, 27, were among those arrested and worked for the same car service company. It remains unclear whether the brother drove Kardashian the night of the robbery, said officials.
An investigating judge may travel to the United States to speak with Kardashian West, according to Fox News.
Kardashian West broke her silence on the incident in the teaser of the family's reality show "Keeping Up with the Kardashians".
According to her, she was bound, gagged and held at gunpoint in October inside a Paris hotel room by masked men who stole jewelry and escaped.
"It makes me so upset to think about it", she said, when she recalls the incident in the clip to sisters Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian.
Prior to the incident, Kardashian was attending the fashion weeks show held in Paris.
Meanwhile, TMZ reported that she won't be wearing the $4 million stolen ring ever for that matter because authorities have told her there's virtually no chance of retrieving it.
Most diamonds the size of Kardashian's, according to the authorities, are immediately shipped off to Antwerp's diamond district in Belgium and then quickly disappear.
Her rapper husband Kanye West was admitted to UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles for sleep deprivation and exhaustion.
It is learned that he later cancelled his Saint Pablo tour.
The show, "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," returns in March but no specific date has been announced.
