'Jeepers Creepers 3' Director Blacklisted from Canadian Talent Agencies Due to Criminal Records

Director of the American horror film sequel, Jeepers Creepers 3 is having problems to shoot the film in Canada after a casting notice was issued regarding the director's past criminal convictions. The production and casting of the film was also removed from the casting information website.

According to AV Club, director Victor Salva will have to delay the production and casting for the third sequel of his horror movie, Jeepers Creepers 3 due to his criminal records. Salva was convicted to child sexual abuse charge, molesting a 12 year old while filming a 1988 film, Clownhouse and pleaded guilty to "lewd and lascivious conduct and of procuring a child for pornography".

The Union Of British Columbia Performers learned that the director is casting for his movie, they then issued a notice on talent agencies regarding the director's past criminal records. The notice said the film was looking for an "18-year-old actress" to play the lead role, Addison, who was since she was 13, she had been living with her grandmother after her stepfather 'started making overtures' to her." 

The Den of Geek also reported, Breakdown Services, has removed the film's casting notice from its site due to the cited reasons. "All submissions made by any agent on this project are no longer available to the casting director nor any member of the production staff," Breakdown Services announced.

The third installment of the 2001 horror film, Jeepers Creepers has been announced recently by the lead actress of the first film, Gina Phillips, who would also reprise her role.  According to Independent, Salva admitted his conviction in public during a 2006 interview with the Los Angeles Times. "I made a terrible mistake, one I wish I could take back every day of my life," he said.

The Jeepers Creepers 3 is on its pre-production and is setting its goal to release it by 2017. However, as of now, the pre-production has been freeze, including Salva, who has not yet commented on the issue.
