This is it! Today is the day you pursue your dream of becoming a lawyer! First, you just have to get that law degree.

Unfortunately, you have a busy life, and conventional colleges demand far more money and time then you likely have. What can you do to get that degree?

Well, fear not! We're here to tell you about the top five benefits of attending an online law school. So sit back and get ready for some quick education!

1. Save Some Money

One of the biggest incentives for an online law degree is that it costs less than a standard university degree. In fact, 4 years of online law school can even be cheaper than 1 year of traditional law school.

Couple this with the fact that online students don't have to worry about the cost of on-campus housing and food, and online degrees come out way ahead in the cost department.

2. No Need For Transportation

Another big perk of pursuing an online degree is that you don't even need to leave your house to go to class. As a result, you don't need to worry about how you're going to get to campus every day.

So if you currently lack a car or live in an area with sparse public transportation, you're covered. Even if you do have these things, you get to save on the cost of gas or train tickets. Not a bad deal.

In case you need the pot a little sweeter, this also means you won't have to relocate to attend a college hundreds of miles away from you.

3. Life Won't Interrupt

Look, we get it. Life stops for nobody, and not everyone has the time or ability to put their life on hold for several years to go get that law degree.

Luckily, online law school programs tend to have less rigid schedules than their non-virtual counterparts. They are often structured to work around adults with full-time jobs or even those who have families to take care of.

4. Easier On Mental Health

Being online for your classes removes the face to face interactions you would have with your classmates and professor in a physical classroom. Some people may think of this as a disadvantage, but if you have social anxiety or a similar condition, this may be ideal.

The ability to be behind a screen may help you be more confident in your studies and perform better academically than you would have if you had to struggle through anxiety in a physical classroom.

5. Online Law School Isn't Exclusive

You may have heard that in many states, the American Bar Association does not recognize those with online law degrees. Luckily, this doesn't mean the end of your dream.

If you have your heart set on being a lawyer, many schools offer blended programs that offer a mix of online and physical classroom time. These programs are more likely to be recognized by the ABA.

If you need an example, what about UMA online? They offer blended programs leaning towards the medical side of the law.

There is also a wide variety of jobs you can do with a law degree, from academia to politics.

Moving Forward

Congratulations! You should now have a better understanding of whether online law school is right for you.
