A lawsuit has been filed against rapper, Young Thug, after he did not show up on a recording deal with a contest winner, whom was promised to feature the popular rap artist. The rapper was also already paid for the said agreement.

According to the Source, the lawsuit was filed by a Hip Hop merchandiser website, WeThePlugg.com. It alleges that the Atlanta rapper did not appear to the studio for the said recording, in which he would add a verse to a song by the would-be winner of one of their contests. The company also claimed Young Thug already received their payment worth $5,000 in 2015.

The winner of their contest would get the chance to have a collaboration track with the rapper. They also told the rapper he would get an additional $10,000 after recording the verse. However, when it was his time to record, Young Thug went missing and his team informed them that he doesn't want to do it anymore. The lawsuit was filed in a court in Georgia, Atlanta, which seeks $14,500 for damages, TMZ reported.

Despite no collaboration with the popular rapper, the contest winner continued to record the song, on his own, according to Hip Hop DX. The company filed the lawsuit for the site to get a $5,000 down payment given to Thug as well as additional damages incurred. Even though the contest already end, Young Thug did not contact or responded to their calls.

On WeThePlugg website online contest, contestants need to log in on their site and pay $100 to enter. Hopefuls will also need to email their entry and will be uploaded to the website. The contestants also needs votes by collecting more hashtags. The song with the most hashtags on Instagram wins the contest.

The 23-year old rapper gained more popularity from his recent mixtapes and a feature on Kanye West's The Life of Pablo album.
